Hsin Chong is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for staff, site personnel and workers. Its commitment has earned wide recognition at the 13th Construction Safety Forum and Award Presentation on 12 July 2012. Among all sites, Hsin Chong's Nam Cheong Property Foundation Removal/Reprovisioning Project (Express Rail Link Contract 802)  won one of the most significant awards, a Gold Award in Best Occupational Health Program to Prevent Heat Stroke at Work.

The project team has rolled out a series of measures at Nam Cheong construction site to prevent heat stroke at work. These includes the introduction of heat stress risk assessment and analysis, heat stress control, training on heart stroke prevention, health check programmes etc; as well as provided various equipments and materials, including heat stress monitors, temporary shelters, sun umbrellas, blowers, water mist sprayers, herbal tea and personal protective equipments to staff, site personnel and workers to prevent heat stroke at work.
