To Our Community

Corporate social responsibility has been a part of Hsin Chong since the company's inception in 1939. Hsin Chong holds true and firm to this commitment. The board, senior management and staff of Hsin Chong are committed to the highest ethical standards and to conducting our business in a way that benefits all stakeholders, the local community and society at large.

Corporate Governance, Safety and Health, Caring for the Environment, Caring for Our People and Caring for the Community are the five key principles of Hsin Chong's Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.

Community Charity

Hsin Chong continues to invest in our community by supporting charitable services through donations, sponsorships and organising volunteer services to care for the underprivileged. For example, by leveraging our strengths and network, our volunteer team provides minor household repair and maintenance service to the needy every year. In recognising our commitment and contributions to the community, the group has been awarded the 'Caring Company' logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the tenth consecutive year. In 2012, Hsin Chong was awarded the Advocate Mark by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), a further testament to our commitment and dedication to practicing corporate social responsibility.

Over the years, Hsin Chong’s diverse activities linking colleagues with the community have gained increasing traction. Besides supporting various charitable efforts, Hsin Chong has taken an active role in promoting the film and art culture in Hong Kong by supporting free screenings for students and the public at the 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

We are also active in participating in a number of programs to nurture young generation. In 2012, Hsin Chong provided sponsorship to students with outstanding academic performance in the Construction Scholarship Program of the Institute of Vocational Education.

In 2011, Hsin Chong sponsored the 'Hong Kong Engineering Week 2011', a large-scale program aimed at promoting the engineering profession and ensuring continuous engineering excellence to help drive our world forward. Hsin Chong's young graduate trainees also joined the 'Engineering Carnival' held at Macpherson Playground by setting up game booths for the public which received favorable and teeming response.
