Corporate social responsibility has been a part of Hsin Chong since the Group's establishment in 1939. Hsin Chong holds true and firm to this commitment. The board, senior management and staff of Hsin Chong are committed to the highest ethical standards and to conducting our business in a way that benefits all stakeholders, the local community and society at large.
Corporate Governance, Safety and Health, Caring for the Environment, Caring for Our People and Caring for the Community are the five key principles of Hsin Chong's Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
Embracing a caring spirit, Hsin Chong is committed to giving back to the society. The Group was awarded the ‘15 Years Plus Caring Company Logo’ by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of its achievements in community services .
Volunteering is a major part of the Group’s commitment to giving back to the community. In fact, most of Hsin Chong’s CSR work begins with hands-on participation. Concurrently, Hsin Chong registered as one of the Volunteer Movement Participating Organisations under the Social Welfare Department, showing a determination to help those in need. The Heart to Heart project organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups also provided the opportunity for Hsin Chong to sponsor volunteer service projects of participating schools, as a form of encouragement for youth volunteering and community service.
As an advocate of the industry, nurturing engineering talent is an essential part of Hsin Chong’s CSR work. Every year, Hsin Chong offers donations and talent development programmes to support young talent. To this end, the Group has organised educational visits, besides making numerous donations to industry events. These donations provide support to events organised by institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), Hong Kong Construction Association and the Construction Industry Council, which are all invested in nurturing local talent and promoting the industry.
